Older than the word wellness
Ayurveda does not treat the body as a set of tight muscles to be loosened. Warm oil is worked into the skin with gentle, unbroken pressure, and it goes where a firmer hand cannot — into how you sleep, how you digest, how quickly the mind stops circling.
Nothing about it is fast. The oil is warmed, the strokes are long, and the therapist keeps contact with the skin from the first minute to the last. That continuity is most of the effect.
“The skin receives the nourishment. The body lets go of the tension.”
How the visit runs
you can ignore all of it, of course
01
The oil is warmed
Nothing starts cold. The oil is brought to temperature first, which is why there is a short wait after you arrive.
02
Long, unbroken strokes
Gentle sustained pressure rather than force, with the therapist keeping contact from start to finish.
03
Let it stay on
Give the oil twenty minutes on the skin before you shower. That absorption is half of what you came for.
Before youcome in
Anything not answered here, ask us directly. Someone is on the desk from seven in the morning.
Will I leave covered in oil?
There are showers here and you are welcome to use them. We would still ask you to wait twenty minutes first.
Is it a strong massage?
No. The pressure is deliberately gentle — the oil, the warmth and the pace are doing the work.
I have just finished a trek.
Then say so when you book. Trekkers therapy exists for exactly that, and we will give the legs the whole session.
What should I wear?
Whatever you arrive in. Disposables and towels are provided, and the room is completely private.
